Joanna has been working in the creative community of Australia for the last ten years gaining expertise in diverse areas from larger public spaces to intimate art collectives. During that time she has been in creative positions in areas of events, gallery direction, arts management and curation. This has included working in such positions as Curatorial Assistant for the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Board Member for The Gertrude Association, Acting Director at Utopian Slumps and General Manager/Festival Director of the Gertrude Street Projection Festival. Most recently Joanna has taken up a position as project coordinator at Regional Arts Victoria

Along with these positions she has been active in working as a freelance curator, administrator, writer and producer for many placements around Melbourne and worked with various venues including: No Vacancy Gallery, Platform Gallery, The Workers Club, Screenspace, Donkey Wheel House, Kinfolk & RMIT.
